RegistrationThe first thing you want to do is browse the site and get an understanding of what speed dating is. Once you are clear on the concept, take a look at the events page. The events page has a list of events along with their dates, locations, and target group. There will be events catered towards specific groups of individuals done by race, ethnicity, age, career, education attainment, religion, sexual orientation, etc. and/or a combination of these. At the EventThis is where the fun begins! Arrive at the venue at the time and date you registered for. (Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to allow time to get a drink) You will be greeted by a GoDate host who will provide you with a nametag and a matchcard. The matchcard is where you write down the names of your dates and circle yes or no next to each name. The Dating ProcessYou will be given 5 minutes to talk to each potential match. After those 5 minutes are up, the host will ring a bell indicating the date is over. If you are interested in seeing the person again, you will circle yes next to their name. A match occurs if you say yes to someone, and they say yes to you. After the EventWithin 48 hours of the event, you will receive an email giving you the names and contact information of the people you matched with. |
